Modern dance is an expressive style of dance that was developed as a contradiction to the very structured technique of classical ballet. Modern dance emphases on using dancer's emotions and moods to create their own unique steps and choreography. Our dancers will have the opportunity to learn some of the most influential modern dance styles such as Martha Graham and Jose Limon technique.
Preparatory, Intermediate and Advanced level classes require audition and involvement in all of our ballet theater performances.
Besides studying classical ballet our students will have opportunity to learn character dance, modern dance, dance history, acting, nutrition, and music appreciation.
The level further develops natural gifts, stability, strength and flexibility of the legs. Exercises are executed in different tempos in order to build dancer’s musicality.
